Looking for a compassionate and easy-going male Support Worker in Newcastle who combines healthcare knowledge with genuine empathy? Django is a fantastic fit.

Currently studying a Bachelor of Nursing, Django is passionate about helping people live more independent and fulfilling lives. His experience in aged care has allowed him to support individuals with physical disabilities, mental health conditions, cognitive impairments, and complex behaviours, including working closely with people living with dementia. He particularly enjoys supporting participants who display behaviours of concern and takes pride in building trust with individuals who may initially be reluctant to engage.

Django also has personal experience supporting a family member with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), giving him additional insight into the importance of patience, understanding, and person-centred care.

Django believes quality support means looking at the whole person – not just their support needs – and working alongside participants rather than doing everything for them. His focus is on encouraging independence, building confidence, and empowering people to achieve their own goals.

Django supports participants with:

  • Community access and social participation
  • Personal care and daily living supports
  • Meal preparation and household assistance
  • Building independence and life skills
  • Behaviour support and emotional regulation
  • Capacity building and everyday routines
  • Transport and appointment support

Django brings strengths in:

  • Calm, genuine, and approachable communication
  • Building rapport with anxious or withdrawn participants
  • Behaviour support and dementia care experience
  • Person-centred and strengths-based practice
  • Strong documentation and professional communication
  • Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintaining professional boundaries and ethical practice

As a nursing student, Django is committed to continually expanding his clinical knowledge while remaining within his professional scope. He values clear communication, thorough documentation, and working closely with families, clinicians, and support teams to ensure participants receive high-quality, consistent care.

Outside of work, Django enjoys basketball, playing video games, discovering great food and staying active. His relaxed personality, practical mindset, and genuine passion for helping others make him someone participants quickly feel comfortable and safe around.
