Meet Helen, the esteemed Lead Occupational Therapist and Assessment Quality Control Officer at Nourished!

Helen’s professional journey began with the successful completion of her Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Sydney in 2010. A dedicated and registered Occupational Therapist with over a decade of experience, Helen has carved a niche for herself in the realms of aged care, the NDIS and orthopedic rehab. Her recent fixed focus on NDIS work reflects her evolving passion and commitment to making a meaningful impact in an area that requires experienced clinician assistance.

Helen’s practice encompasses a diverse range of interests, including but not limited to:

1. NDIS disability assessment and support

2. Working collaboratively with adolescents, young adults, and adults

3. Honing her craft in Functional Capacity Assessment, Supported Independent Living Assessments and Independent Living Assessments.

4. Expertise in Lymphedema and Chronic Edema management

Helen’s approach to her work is characterised by a profound dedication to helping the NND team achieve their professional growth, to better the outcomes for all patients of our practice. She achieves this through her quality control review of each FCA that comes into the practice, along with supervising less experienced clinicians when in need.

Rapport building is a cornerstone of Helen’s practice, as she places a premium on ensuring that those under her care feel comfortable throughout their interactions. Colleagues at Nourished describe her as warm and bubbly, a testament to her engaging and approachable demeanor.
