Meet Kenneth

Trauma Informed Psychologist

Welcome Ken! An incredibly experienced registered psychologist, specialising in trauma treatment, recovery, and post-trauma growth. He provides services via Telehealth at Nourished Not Deprived, assessing and treating a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, stress-related difficulties, pain management, OCD, phobias, and issues of personality and identity.

For 14 years, EMDR has been a principal therapeutic approach in Ken’s work, alongside other evidence-based psychological therapies. He primarily works with youth, adults, and the elderly across culturally and linguistically diverse communities, including victims of early childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crimes, as well as first responders and veterans.

Ken is committed to person-centered treatment, with honesty, trust, openness, and respect at the core of his relationships with clients. He treats each person as a unique individual on their journey toward healing, recovery, and growth, supporting their pursuit of something better for themselves and those around them.

Ken approaches mental health from a non-pathological perspective, focusing on the growth potential within every challenge or condition. He is curious about the hidden progressive nature of symptoms, viewing them as symbols rather than signs of brokenness. In his work, he collaborates with clients to create a tailored mix of therapies that respect their individual needs and values. He is guided by key markers of healing, both affective and behavioral, as they emerge in expected and unexpected ways. Ken understands that healing is not a fixed linear process; it is iterative and requires responsiveness to the signs. He believes that solutions are found together, residing in the intelligent space between him and his clients rather than in any one individual.

We are stoked to have Ken join us, increasing the calibre of care provided here at NND!
