Introducing Mirna, another wonderful Speech Therapist at Nourished Not Deprived, stationed in Wheelers Hill Victoria! Mirna offers telehealth therapy services for NDIS participants within our community.
Mirna embarked on her professional journey after successfully completing her Bachelor of Speech Pathology from Australian Catholic University in 2019. A dedicated and empathetic Speech Pathologist, Mirna brings her passion and expertise to all her work, in particular for those with neurological conditions, where she finds joy in facilitating meaningful communication and connection. Mirna’s practice encompasses a diverse range of interests, including but not limited to:

  • Capacity building for those with neurological conditions, language disorders, cognitive
    communication disorders, swallowing disorders, traumatic brain injury and Autism
    spectrum disorder (ASD),
  • Adolescent and Adult focused capacity building,
  • Collaborative education work with clients and their families/carers

Mirna’s work is marked by her unwavering commitment to amplifying the voices of her participants/clients, guiding them towards realising their utmost potential. She accomplishes this by crafting personalised therapy plans meticulously tailored to suit each individual’s unique requirements, with a steadfast focus on enhancing quality of life and fostering meaningful outcomes. Quality assurance is a cornerstone of Mirna’s practice, which embodies a key core value of NNDs, as she ensures therapy interventions are not only effective but also make a tangible difference in the lives of her participants. Beyond her professional endeavors, Mirna finds joy in practicing Pilates and indulging in her love for books!
