Rice Crispys with a Twist

Ingredients

  • ½ cup maple syrup or honey
  • ½ cup almond butter
  • 2 cup puffed rice cereal (rice bubbles, etc) OR 6 crushed rice cakes
  • 100g dark choc ????

Directions

  1. Combine maple syrup and almond butter in a bowl and microwave for 1.5 minutes, stirring every 20 seconds to make a sticky “caramel”.
  2. Pour in the rice cereal/crushed rice cakes and stir until the rice is coated in the almond butter mixture.
  3. Line a baking tin or container with baking paper and firmly pack the mixture in the tin. You might need to use a measuring cup to press it down firm.
  4. Melt dark chocolate in the microwave and drizzle over the slice.
  5. Refrigerate for an hour or until firm. Cut into bars and enjoy!
