Medicare rebates at NND

Medicare rebates of $92.90 are available for psychological treatment by our registered psychologists under the Australian Government’s Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative.

Under this scheme individuals diagnosed with a mental health disorder can access up to 10 individual and 10 group treatment sessions per year.

Patients also seeking Psychological Treatment for an Eating Disorder are entitled to 40 rebated psychological treatment services.

Medicare provides up to 5 rebated sessions for visits to Accredited Practising Dietitians, when being treated for a chronic health condition, and are under an approved care plan coordinated by a Medical Practitioner.

If you are interested in a consult, it would be worth checking with your general practitioner to see if you are eligible to receive these rebated sessions, as they can provide up to $58 each session.

If you would like to check to see whether you are eligible you may also contact us with enquiries.

  • At Nourished Not Deprived, we are committed to providing accessible and affordable healthcare services to our clients. As part of our commitment to promoting health and well-being, we offer bulk billing options for eligible patients. However, in order to ensure the sustainability of our services and maintain the highest standards of care, we have implemented the following bulk billing policy:
    • Bulk billing is available to patients who meet specific eligibility criteria as determined by Medicare guidelines.
    • Patients eligible for bulk billing must provide a valid referral from their General Practitioner (GP) indicating that bulk billing is medically necessary for their care.
    • The referral must clearly state that the patient requires bulk billing due to financial hardship or medical necessity
    • It is the responsibility of the patient to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria for bulk billing and provide a valid GP referral if required.
    • Patients are encouraged to communicate any concerns or questions regarding bulk billing eligibility with our administration team prior to their appointments.
    • Referrals must be emailed through to NND admnistration for review at admin@nourishednotdeprived.com.
