At Nourished Not Deprived, we believe community access is about more than just getting out of the house.
It’s about helping people feel connected, confident, and capable in their everyday lives – whether that’s visiting the local shops, joining a gym, or meeting new friends.
Our Support Workers provide goal-focused, therapeutic community access, designed to help participants take part in the world around them safely and meaningfully.

By listening to your story and understanding your needs, we connect you with the most suitable support worker.

Community access, also known under the NDIS as Assistance with Social and Community Participation, supports people with disability to take part in social, recreational, and community activities.
Our Support Workers can assist with:
Attending appointments, programs, or therapy sessions
Joining social or hobby groups
Going to the gym, pool, or sporting activities
Catching public transport or learning travel skills
Volunteering or exploring work readiness
Building confidence in social settings
Managing day trips, outings, and errands safely
Every activity is tailored to the participant’s goals, comfort level, and interests – so they’re not just attending, but participating.
We don’t believe support work should be task-based – it should be capacity-building.
That’s why our Community Access team works under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist with over a decade of experience.
Each Support Worker is:
Trained to understand the therapeutic “why” behind every outing
Supervised by Allied Health, ensuring each support builds life skills and confidence
Matched carefully based on the participant’s goals, personality, and communication needs
Backed by a full Allied Health team (OTs, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, and Dietitians) for a holistic approach
Because real progress happens when the whole support team works together.
This service is ideal for NDIS participants who want to:
Build confidence and independence in the community
Learn new skills like travel training or money management
Reduce isolation and improve social connections
Maintain healthy routines and participation in daily life
Access therapy, education, or recreational opportunities with safe support
It includes help participating in social, educational, and recreational activities – from gym visits to community events – always focused on your goals.
