Expert SIL reports completed from the comfort of home.
At Nourished Not Deprived, we provide comprehensive Supported Independent Living (SIL) assessments via Telehealth to help NDIS participants access the supports they need to live as independently as possible. Our team of experienced Occupational Therapists are trained in NDIS reporting requirements and deliver clear, goal-focused reports that advocate for the right supports.
We offer SIL assessments and reports for:
NDIS participants exploring or currently in SIL arrangements
Participants transitioning from hospital, residential, or family care
Individuals with complex needs requiring 24/7 or substantial support
Support Coordinators needing a fast turnaround and responsive communication
A SIL assessment identifies the level of daily support an individual needs to live safely and independently in a shared or individual living environment. It’s often required by the NDIS when requesting SIL funding and typically involves a detailed review of:
Functional capacity
Daily living skills
Supervision needs (day and overnight)
Behavioural and psychosocial supports
Current living arrangements and risks
Goals for independence
Our Telehealth SIL assessments allow participants to access high-quality, NDIS-aligned assessments Australia-wide — without needing to leave their homes.

A Supported Independent Living (SIL) assessment via Telehealth is a comprehensive occupational therapy evaluation delivered online to determine a participant’s need for 24/7 or ongoing support in their living environment. It includes a functional capacity review, current living arrangement analysis, and a formal report tailored to NDIS Supported Independent Living funding criteria.
Our Telehealth SIL assessment process includes a virtual consultation with the participant and/or carers, a review of daily living skills, collaboration with support workers, review of medical documentation, and preparation of a detailed NDIS SIL report. All reports go through a quality control review to ensure compliance with NDIS expectations. Our turnaround time is typically 3–5 weeks, with fast-track options available.
A SIL assessment via Telehealth is equally comprehensive and evidence-based. Participants are assessed in their home environment through secure video conferencing, allowing our Occupational Therapists to observe daily routines and discuss support needs in real-time — without waitlists or travel delays.
NDIS participants who require 24/7 care, live in shared or supported accommodation, or need ongoing daily support are eligible for NDIS-funded SIL assessments. These assessments are often required when applying for or renewing Supported Independent Living supports in your NDIS plan.
